These results will likely change - some DNFs may be given to entrants who turned before the cone.
Al Watson comments: "20 racers for 40k time trial this morning in beautiful weather, 15c at start and very slight headwind. 19 riders finished (1 DNF due to muscle cramps) Fastest rider Aaron Fillion (RWR) in 51:00. Fastest Female Kelly Knowles (OBC) 59:35. Fastest ABC male Les Humphries 71:00."
Celia McInnis adds: It was a very good day for a time trial, and 4 riders - Kelly Knowles (59:35, 40.280 km/h), Bob Woods (1:16:49, 31.243 km/h), Graham Page (1:00:17, 39.812 km/h) and Joel Katz (56:33, 42.440 km/h) - managed to improve considerably upon their previous 40km database best on any of the present or previous ABC or OBC 40km courses! None of these people did the first time trial on this course. Another rider, Bram Moerman (1:03:14, 37.955 km/h) made his first attempt on this course with a huge improvement (6 minutes and 40 seconds!) over his 2013-Jun-02 40km TT on the Calabogie course! Of the five people who were doing their second attempt on the Franktown-Perth-Franktown course, three improved, while the other two of us adnitted to arriving tired and finishing even so. Fastest of the day by more than 5 minutes was Aaron Fillion (51:00, 47.059 km/h), who warmed up by riding 51 km from home to the start line. During the time trial, he past most of us as if we were standing still!
